About Park Home Passport

More Than a Survey – A Better Way to Buy and Sell Park Homes

Buying a park home is one of the biggest financial decisions many people will ever make. Yet, unlike traditional property purchases, buyers and sellers often have very little independent information to help them make informed decisions.

Park Home Passport was created to change that.

Our mission is simple: to bring greater transparency, consistency and trust to the park home industry through independent surveys, honest advice and a long-term digital record for every home.

Our story

Over 15 years inside the park home industry

My name is Nick, founder of Park Home Passport.

For over 15 years I've worked within the park home industry, giving me first-hand experience of how parks operate and the challenges buyers and sellers face.

I originally ran a successful decking business, installing bespoke decking for residential park homes and holiday caravans across the UK. During those years I visited hundreds of parks, met countless homeowners, and developed a practical understanding of park home construction and maintenance.

As a builder for most of my working life, I've also renovated park homes and undertaken refurbishment projects for park owners, including commercial offices and site facilities. Running my own business has given me valuable experience in customer service, project management, finance and delivering value for money.

Every stage of my career has helped shape what Park Home Passport has become today.

Why it started

Why I Started Park Home Passport

The inspiration came from a very personal experience.

When my mother decided to sell her park home, the sale fell through after a survey that we believed was unfair and biased. Seeing how upsetting that experience was made me question the way park home surveys were being carried out.

As I looked further into the industry, I realised there was no consistent standard for park home surveys.

Many surveyors also carried out repair and renovation work, creating a potential conflict of interest where the same company could identify problems and then quote to fix them.

I believed buyers and sellers deserved something better. That moment became the starting point for Park Home Passport.

"The survey should present the facts — nothing more and nothing less."

— The principle behind Park Home Passport

A different approach

Facts, not opinions

Park Home Passport has been built around one principle: the survey should present the facts — nothing more and nothing less.

Every survey follows a consistent process designed to provide an honest snapshot of a home's condition.

Our goal is to remove opinion wherever possible and replace it with clear, practical information that helps buyers and sellers make confident decisions.

We believe everyone should have access to independent information before committing to one of life's biggest purchases.

The bigger picture

Looking Beyond Today's Survey

Our vision goes much further than producing survey reports.

We are developing a digital Park Home Passport for every home — a secure online record that can be shared by the owner with prospective buyers, estate agents or family members.

Like the service history of a car, a Park Home Passport can grow over time, recording surveys, improvements, maintenance and updates throughout the life of the property.

This creates greater transparency for buyers while helping sellers demonstrate how well their home has been cared for.

In the future, we hope estate agents will encourage sellers to obtain a Park Home Passport before marketing their property, reducing delays, avoiding unexpected issues and making transactions smoother for everyone involved.

Raising standards

Raising Standards Across the Industry

One of our long-term ambitions is to help improve standards across the entire park home sector.

We believe buyers should be able to choose an independent surveyor with confidence.

As Park Home Passport grows, we plan to develop training and accreditation that supports surveyors who share our values of independence, transparency and consistency.

Our aim is to help establish a trusted nationwide network of professionals working to the same high standards.

Our values

Everything we do is guided by three principles

Transparency

Honest information presented clearly. No hidden agendas, no confusing language — just the facts you need to make confident decisions.

Independence

Surveys based on evidence, free from conflicts of interest. We don't repair homes, so we have no reason to find problems that don't exist.

Value

Helping customers make informed decisions that could save them significant expense, stress and uncertainty during one of life's biggest purchases.
